We aim to help any greyhound in need.
Founded by Siobhan Hoppley in 2013, Makants Greyhound Rescue, a registered charity, is based in Tyldesley, Greater Manchester. To date (October 2024) we have found forever homes for just over 680 greyhounds.
The charity’s aim is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome retired and injured greyhounds but we also help find homes for greyhounds from individuals who can no longer provide the love and care they require.
All of our dogs are assessed, neutered, vaccinated and microchipped prior to rehoming.
We rely on the kindness and generosity of others with our volunteers being the backbone of our rescue. If you wish to help us in any way please check out our help us page or come along for a chat to one of our fundraising events (details can be found on our facebook page under ‘Events’)
If you’d like to see our hounds who need a forever home please visit dogs looking for homes, or visit our adopt/foster page to register your interest. Please note we are VOLUNTEER RUN rescue and, as such, cannot respond immediately to enquiries.
Thank you for your interest in our rescue and our greyhounds.
