RALPHIE

Six year old handsome lad RALPHIE joined us last Wednesday.

RALPHIE

❤RALPHIE❤ Six year old handsome lad RALPHIE joined us last Wednesday. He's been getting used to his new world and has settled well, and is particularly enjoying his walks. He was a little unsure on his recent photoshoot and was quite put out that he couldn't find his ears, which seem to have gone astray somewhere! I'm sure we'll find them in time though. RALPHIE is a friendly and calm dog who is easy to walk. At this stage we feel he could make an ideal first greyhound for anyone new to the breed. WALTER

5 year old handsome lad WALTER arrived with us on the 21st August.

WALTER

WALTER Handsome five year old WALTER joined us on the 21st August and soon showed what a gentle and laid back lad he is. He is also easy to walk and does not react to other breeds of dog he meets when out and about. With his calm nature we feel WALTER could make an ideal first greyhound for anyone new to the breed. 4 year old dark brindle male SAMMY arrived with us on the 18th August 2024 and settled in well. He's now been neutered and is slowly getting used to the outside world. More information to follow. photo Shilpa Grewal

*FIDGET is now RESERVED* Four and a half year old FIDGET arrived with us on 6th August 2024 and is settling in well

FIDGET

Four and a half year old FIDGET arrived with us on 6th August 2024 and is settling in well. She is an affectionate girl and has decided that everyone is her very best friend and will give hugs if required! RACHEL

5 year old RACHEL joined us on the 15th July 2024.

*RACHEL IS OUR DOG OF THE MONTH FOR SEPTEMBER* 5 year old RACHEL joined us on the 15th July 2024. RACHEL is a larger hound who is easy to walk and not reactive towards other breeds of dog she meets on her walks. She does love to spend time in the long grass on her walks enjoying some 'salad'. 4 year old male ARTY arrived with us on the 12th July 2024

🌟DOG OF THE MONTH FOR AUGUST🌟 ❤ARTY❤ 4 year old blue male ARTY arrived with us on the 12th July 2024 and has settled in well and is now more than ready for a home of his own. He’s a friendly boy who is easy to walk and is fine with other breeds of dogs he meets when out and about. ARTY likes to play with toys and is always up for a fuss from our volunteers! He's been spending more time in the enrichment (home from home) room in order to aid his transition into a home. With his friendly personality and good looks ARTY really is an all round lovely hound. CARMEL

CARMEL arrived with us on the 19th May 2024 and is settling well.

🌟DOG OF THE MONTH FOR JULY - CARMEL🌟 Three and a half year old CARMEL arrived with us on the 19th May 2024 and soon settled in. CARMEL was relaxed enough to play with toys from the beginning and she is always happy to see our walking volunteers, greeting them with a waggy tail. CARMEL enjoys her walks and is not reactive to other breeds she meets when out and about. We think CARMEL would be happy to live either as an only hound or with a male larger breed dog for company. We are looking for someone who has experience of dogs, though not necessarily greyhounds, for her. FLIGHT

2.5 year old FLIGHT joined us on the 4th May 2024.

FLIGHT

FLIGHT arrived with us on the 4th May and has settled well. He's a younger dog, 2.5 years, and can have his 'giddy' moments in anticipations of his walks. Once on his walk he does settle and walks well on the lead and is not reactive to other breeds of dog he meets. We think FLIGHT would be happy to live as an only dog and we're looking for people with some experience of owning a dog, not necessarily a greyhound, for him. RENLEY

3.5 year old stunning fawn boy RENLEY arrived with us on the 13th April 2024.

RENLEY

Stunning fawn boy RENLEY arrived with us on the 13th April 2024. He is currently being assessed and is not reactive to other dogs he meets on this walks.. He has been described by Siobhan as a 'fabulous' dog! We think RENLEY would prefer a home where the owners are at home a large amount of the time - and certainly at the beginning to settle him in. Renley has recently had his tail amputated and is recovering well. He has enjoyed playing with a football during the Euros too! photo Shilpa Grewal,

REGGIE

4 year old REGGIE joined us on the 6th April 2024.

REGGIE

Four year old handsome lad REGGIE arrived with us in April this year and soon settled in. We’ve found him to be a friendly and affectionate boy who loves fuss and his toys in equal measure. He loves to meet any visitors to kennels and laps up the attention! He recently spent some time 'helping' our volunteer John in the sand paddock as he loves human company - and loves to see what's going on! REGGIE also likes his daily walks and can get excited initially when going out but soon settles down. We think REGGIE would be happy to live as an only dog or with a female greyhound or lurcher for company. We're looking for people with some experience of owning a large dog, not necessarily a greyhound, for him. OTIS

Three year old OTIS arrived with us on the 28th February.

OTIS

Three year old OTIS arrived with us on the 28th February along with his brother REUBEN. Reuben has since found his forever home but OTIS is still waiting for his. OTIS is a timid boy but is gaining steadily in confidence. He’s a friendly boy who appreciates the quieter things in life and enjoys attention from our volunteers. He can still be reactive towards other breeds of dog he meets on his walks but this is lessening through exposure and work undertaken by our volunteers. Due to his timid nature we are looking for a quiet, child free home for OTIS. STORM

4 year old STORM arrived with us on the 8th November 2023.

STORM

4 year old STORM arrived with us on the 8th November 2023. On arrival STORM was very timid as everything was new to her. As she has settled in, and after being given some time, she has improved and is now making great progress gaining confidence day by day. This is in part thanks to the support of our volunteers and the new experiences they are able to offer her. However, STORM still remains anxious at times and is sensitive to loud noises. STORM enjoys daily trips out in a volunteers' car to a nearby area where she enjoys her walks and has had many new experiences - which she has coped well with. She particulary enjoys spending time in water if she can, and also loves a run around our sand paddock. Siobhan describes Storm as a 'lovely, gentle soul'. She is happy and relaxed in her kennel, as you will see in photos! BUDDY

Four year old BUDDY arrived with us on the 17th May 2023.

BUDDY

Handsome BUDDY arrived with us on the 17th May 2023, having been in our care for over a year now. As he settled in we found that he has a cheeky personality and he is always up to trying to steal toys off his next door neighbour in kennels. He really does love playing with toys, whether they belong to him or someone else! BUDDY is easy to walk and initially was reactive towards other breeds of dogs he met on his walks. However, his behaviour greatly improved with help from our volunteers and from exposure to other breeds he met on his daily walks. He enjoys regular visits to the local Starbucks for a pupuccino. BUDDY is a steady boy and a friendly lad who would be quite happy to be the only dog in a home. CHIEF

CHIEF arrived with us on the 4th December 2022.

CHIEF

This handsome lad arrived with us on the 4th December 2022. He is a gentle, quiet boy and is described by Siobhan as 'adorable'. CHIEF is great on the lead and, although he is getting used to other breeds of dog he meets when out on walks, he can still be vocal at times. We are looking for an adopter who has experience of larger dogs and who can be around at home at least initially to help CHIEF settle in. CHIEF enjoys spending time in the enrichment (home from home) room, playing with his toys and also enjoys being brushed. CHIEF has enjoyed days out with our volunteers enjoying lots of new experiences. LADDIE

Four year old LADDIE joined us on the 18th November 2022.

LADDIE

Four year old LADDIE joined us on the 18th November 2022. Described by Siobhan as a 'lovely gentle and friendly lad', LADDIE has settled in well. He loves a cuddle and gets on well with all our female greyhounds, but with male greyhounds he is a little more picky who he spends his time with. Laddie can get anxious boy at times if he finds himself in a new situation but can be reassured by his regular walkers who he ABSOLUTELY loves.
