Our shop is open EVERY THURSDAY from 10 am to 3 pm AND EVERY SATURDAY from 10 am until 12.30 pm. We are based on Mort Lane, Tyldesley, M29 8PF – opposite Tyldesley distribution – with parking on site. Visit us for raincoats and fleeces, harnesses, martingale and house collars, treats and much more!

Saturday 23rd May 2026 –Â 10 am to 4 pm We are pleased to be returning to the Tesco Haydock store (Bellerophan Way, St.Helens WA11) for an in store collection and awareness event.
We’ll have some greyhounds for you to meet and it’s an ideal opportunity to come along and find out what wonderful pets they make. We’d love you to stop for a chat if you’re out shopping.
Monday 25th May 2026 – BANK HOLIDAY MONDAY – We are pleased to be returning to the Pets at Home, Walkden store on BANK HOLIDAY MONDAY 25th May 2026. We’ll have adopted greyhounds for you to meet and volunteers who love to talk ‘all things greyhound’. If you’re interested in finding out more about the breed why not come along?

NAIL CLIPPING – Saturday 6th June 2026
Advance notice of our next clipping session at kennels which is taking place on Saturday 6th June 2026, 11.30 to 12.30 pm at kennels. Greyhounds only please.
*We would respectfully ask that anyone attends during this hour ONLY.*No appointment is required but please be advised that you may have a lengthy wait to be seen,                                   we also do ask for a donation to the rescue for this service.
Our kennels shop will be open for sales of treats, collars, leads, coats etc. We are also stockists of Ostrich bones, priced at £16.
You are responsible for yourself and your dog (s). You MUST muzzle your dog if there is the possibility they may be reactive towards other dogs.
 Saturday 6th June 2026 – Sighthound social dog walk in Dunham Park
Walk details:Â
Meet: at 9.45 am for 10.15 start
Meeting Point and parking: The Swan with two Nicks, Park Lane, Little Bollington, Altrincham. WA14 4SU **postcode brings you to Park Lane, just continue up the lane until you see the pub **
The walk is through Dunham Park and does not include any of the formal gardens on the Dunham Massey estate                                                                           Route: One route, 1 hour 20 mins (no short route available) on level surfaced paths through woodland
**TO ENTER AND EXIT THE PARK YOUR HOUND(s) MUST BE ABLE TO CLIMB OVER THE 5 STEPS (as shown) THE GATE IS LOCKED**
Suggested donation: £2 per hound. This is a sighthound only walk but companion dogs of other breeds who live with a sighthound are welcome too.
All dogs must remain on leads, no extendable leads please. Our thanks to the Swan with Two Nicks for the use of their car park for our walk. We will return to the pub for opening at 12 midday and hope some walkers will be able to enjoy a drink or meal after the walk.
(Note toilet facilities are only available when the pub is open) This is a social dog walk organised by Makants Greyhound Rescue. You are responsible for yourself and your dog(s). Please muzzle your dog if they may be reactive. Suitable footwear and clothing is advised
Sunday 7th June 2026 – from 12 midday – Legh Street Park, Golborne. We are pleased to return to this popular Carnival in Golborne. We’ll have dog related and craft items for sale and hope to have a greyhound or two for you to meet. Please support this local event – and your local greyhound rescue too.
Sunday 14th June 2026 – 12 noon to 4 pm. Meadowbank Playing Fields, Gloucester Street, Atherton. We are pleased to be returning once again to Atherton Carnival. We’ll have our tombola, gifts for sale and greyhounds for you to meet too. Please support your local greyhound rescue!
