Our shop is open EVERY THURSDAY from 10 am to 3 pm AND EVERY SATURDAY from 10 am until 12.30 pm. We are based on Mort Lane, Tyldesley, M29 8PF – opposite Tyldesley distribution – with parking on site. Visit us for raincoats and fleeces, harnesses, martingale and house collars, treats and much more!
**UPCOMING EVENTS*
26th July 2026 for one week – Makants volunteer Bex Rimmington is undertaking an amazing Geneva to Nice cycle (770km) to raise funds for the rescue and her other chosen charity Sjögren’s UK.
The course takes in some of the Alps’ most iconic climbs, including the Col de la Colombière, Col du Télégraphe, Col du Galibier and the legendary Alpe d’Huez.
As well as volunteering at the rescue and regularly walking Express, Bex has been training for some time and tells us: ‘Flying out to Geneva, taking on the mountains and completing this challenge in support of Makants and Sjögren’s UK will be an unforgettable experience’. We are in awe of your skill and determination, Bex! Thank you for undertaking this challenge for us.

Our next Name the Dog card will be taking place at 7 pm on Wednesday 29th July 2026 over on our facebook Auction facebook page. At only £5 per guess why not have a go?

Bryn’s Big Weekend, – 25th and 26th July 2026.
We’re pleased to have a stall at this popular Community two day event, this year being held in July.
Taking place on Brocstedes Avenue, Ashton in Makerfield, WN4 ONJ from 10 am to 4 pm each day.
We’ll have dog related items for sale, greyhounds for you to meet and our famous tombola too. See you there!
🌟MEET A GREYHOUND EVENT 🌟 ONLY ONE SPACE LEFT! be quick!
We have planned another of our ‘Meet a Greyhound’ events which will take place at kennels on:
Saturday 1st August 2026 between 10.30 am and 12.30 pm
Through these events we hope to interest more people new to the breed who are keen to find out about greyhounds and greyhound adoption. It is an ideal opportunity to come along to kennels, ask questions, and meet a greyhound at the same time.

Sunday 2nd August 2026 – 10 am to 2 pm, Avant Garden centre, Wigan Road, Leyland. We are delighted to be returning to Avant Garden centre on the 2nd August 2026. We’ll have hand made items for sale, dog related merchandise and – of course – some greyhounds for you to meet! If you’ve ever wondered about adopting why not come along for a chat with our volunteers? Please support your local greyhound rescue.
Saturday 8th August 2026 – 10 am to 3 pm. We are pleased to be returning to Chorley Market on Saturday 8th August.
We’ll have hand made crafts for sale as well as many dog related items. We will also have greyhounds for you to meet, why not stop for a chat with our volunteers? We’d love to see you and let you know what wonderful pets greyhounds make .Our stall will be on Fazackerly Street.
Saturday 8th August 2026 – We are pleased to be attending the Dam House Summer Party on Saturday 8th August, from 10am to 4pm.We will be running a Fun dog show on the day from 11am to 12.30pm. The entrance fee is only £2 per dog per class, pay on entry to the ring. We will have rosettes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in each class.
