**UPCOMING EVENTS*
OCTOBER 2026
Saturday 17th October 2026 – We are pleased to have the opportunity to fundraise and raise awareness at the Tesco, Atherton Superstore. Our volunteers will be in store from 10 am to 4 pm and will have greyhounds for you to meet. If you’ve ever wondered about adopting or would like more information about greyhounds please do stop for a chat.
NAIL CLIPPING
Advance notice of our next nail clipping session at kennels which is taking place on Saturday 17th October from11.30 am to 12.30 pm
*We would respectfully ask that anyone attends during this hour ONLY.*
No appointment is required but please be advised that you may have a lengthy wait to be seen. We do ask for a donation to the rescue for this service and would suggest a donation of £15 per hound.
(This is considerably lower than the price quoted at local veterinary practices and all proceeds from our nail clipping sessions go towards the care of the greyhounds in kennels).
Please note: You are responsible for yourself and your dog (s). You MUST muzzle your dog if there is the possibility they may be reactive towards other dogs.
Greyhounds only please.
Sunday 18th October 2026 – 11 am to 1 pm. We are pleased to return to the Pets at Home Horwich store. Our volunteers will have greyhounds with them and would love to chat ‘all things greyhound’ with you. If you’ve ever wondered about adopting this is an ideal opportunity to find out more.
Saturday 31st October 2026 – We are pleased to be attending this special Halloween themed event at Leigh Spinners Mill from 10 am to 4 pm. We’ll have hand made items for both human and hound, including hand knitted dogs coats for all breeds. Be sure to look out for our stall if you’re attending the event.
