*WOOFY’s DAY OUT*
Kennel hound WOOFY was lucky to have a day out recently with Darryl, one of our experienced volunteers.
WOOFY was taken for a walk along the Leeds /Liverpool Canal, past Scotmans Flash and through Ince Moss woods. He saw a canal barge, swans being fed, a bittern, herons and even saw a deer when it moved off in front of them at one point!
He was a real superstar and loved taking in all the new experiences, including the car journey – and the chicken treat after his walk 😁 – before returning back to kennels. Thanks to our volunteers for giving the hounds these new experiences, which ultimately help them transition from a racing greyhound to a pet.
