VISIT TO KENNELS BY ANDY WHYMENT
APRIL IS ADOPT A GREYHOUND MONTH
Earlier this week we were delighted to welcome actor – and dog lover – Andy Whyment along to kennels. Andy had a full tour of the rescue visiting all the kennels, sensory garden and enrichment room and also spent time with many of our greyhounds waiting for homes.
Andy also met many of our volunteers and was impressed by their commitment, commenting ‘it’s unreal the work the volunteers put in’. He took great interest in learning all about the work we do at Makants and summed up his visit by saying ‘it was great to visit Makants and see the amazing work they do for the greyhounds in their care.’
Our thanks to Andy for taking the time to visit the rescue and to highlight greyhounds during April – Adopt a Greyhound month. We really appreciate his support helping spread the word that greyhounds make ‘greyt’ pets. You’re welcome back any time Andy!
