Makants hound KING – *In memoriam*

KING came to Makants in October 2020 at the age of 10, having spent all his life in a kennel environment. Jan and Marzena kindly offered to take King in as a foster hound in the November and by January last year he was officially their hound.

Very sadly, however, they recently had to say goodbye to King and Jan shares this beautiful tribute with us:

‘Our beautiful King has crossed the Rainbow Bridge.
The loving boy has left such a void behind.
He was so regal, yet so adaptable and easy going.
King had such a unique, soulful look in his eyes, and it was a beautiful reflection of his character.

He loved new places and experiences and we were so happy he was able to travel with us to the Yorkshire coast, Wales and even throughout Europe last summer. He both enjoyed greyhound walks so much, as he did relaxing at home with his family. His love and devotion were unparalleled, and he had such a great calming influence on fellow Makants adopted hound Lottie.

Words fail to describe how amazing he has been. We feel so fortunate we were able to give King the best time of his life. We are just really heart broken we did not get more time with him, as every day of King’s love has been amazing.’
Jan and Marzena

We send our love to Jan and Marzena and thank them for opening their hearts and their home to King, he was a very much loved boy.
