*IN MEMORIAM – RAVEN*
This week we were saddened to hear of the passing of a Makants hound, the lovely RAVEN.
RAVEN was a long stay hound at Makants and many of our long term volunteers remember him fondly, some having taken him for walks and days out of the kennels.
Raven happily found his forever home with Col in October 2018. Col tells us that ‘Raven was a wonderful character, a beautiful, sweet soul. He was a real gentleman in the end, who was happy to greet and play with all the dogs on our walks. He was my absolute rock in lockdown and such a faithful friend. He was popular with everyone he met and could never resist an open door, attempting to invade many a car or house but always making friends.’
Raven continued to visit kennels with Col, with the last photo below taken in April this year. We send our love to Col and his son Cameron and thank them for giving Raven such a great home.
