*In memoriam* Makants hound MEGHAN

We have some sad news to share today, Makants hound MEGHAN, adopted in June 2018, has passed away. You may remember she arrived with us without a name and, due to the impending Royal Wedding, we decided on the name Meghan.

Although she was only with her family a short time they certainly packed a lot of love and many shared experiences into their time together. We received the following tribute from Meghan’s family over the weekend and we send them our love.

‘We said goodbye to our beautiful girl Meghan yesterday. We adopted her nearly 3 years ago. She was a beautiful gentle girl and fun to have around. Meghan had developed a severe limp over the last few weeks until she wasn’t able to place her paw on the ground. The diagnosis was an aggressive bone cancer. Although Meghan shared our life for such a short period of time, she was a massive part of our lives and will be in our hearts forever. We cannot thank Makants enough for finding such a perfect sister for Rufus and later a big sister to Denzel our Iggy. We will miss her enormously.
