*IN MEMORIAM* *JACK
We’ve received very sad news of the passing of Makants hound Jack who was adopted by Cheryl and Matt in 2018. They tell us that:
‘Jack was so loving, a real cuddle monster who was happiest squeezing in between us both on the sofa. He wasted no time at all stealing our hearts, our sofa and my slippers which for some reason he just had to have, even trying to take them off my feet sometimes. He was such a character and made us laugh at least once a day.
Apart from the countless cuddles, belly rubs and fusses, we also enjoyed a fantastic holiday in the Lakes and a fab weekend up in South Shields for the Great North Run where Jack enjoyed digging a huge hole on the beach. I think Jack’s highlight was getting 3rd best sausage catcher at the Makants dog show though!
When he was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma two months ago we were absolutely heartbroken. He was only 6 and a half, we hadn’t had anywhere near enough time together. We spent what time we had left spoiling him rotten – lots of cuddles and cooking all his favourite food every day – steak, chicken, Sundays lunches…we even had the nice weather to get in a few barbecues – he was truly spoilt.
We already miss him so much, he was such a huge part of our lives and we loved him dearly.
Thank you to Makants for bringing him into our lives, although it was so very cruelly cut short we really made the most of the time we had and I know that Jack loved us and his home as much we loved him.’
We send our sincere condolences to Cheryl and Matt at this sad time.
