*IN MEMORIAM*
We were saddened to hear recently of the passing of adopted Makants hound Connie.
Beautiful Connie was with us in the early days of the rescue, being adopted in Spring 2015 by Alan, where she enjoyed a wonderful life and wanted for nothing.
Alan wished to honour Connie’s memory and has sent in the following tribute:

‘Connie brought so much love and character to her new family when she joined us in March 2015. She had a quiet and gentle nature but wasn’t afraid to keep the two boys in order when required.
Her favourite times were chasing the ball at the beach or lounging around the garden on a warm sunny day.
We want to say a big thank you to all the volunteers at Makants for looking after her in kennels and especially Kenny who fostered Connie in the months up to us adopting her.
Her passing leaves a massive greyhound shaped hole in our hearts, but I’m sure as the pain eases in time our great memories of sharing our lives together will overcome this grief.’
Many of our long term volunteers remember Connie with fondness, we send our love to Alan at this very sad time.
