As the temperatures have been increasing we have been making sure our kennel hounds are kept as cool as possible. We are especially mindful of the extreme temperatures coming our way over the coming days.
Our preparations include: damp towels over windows, fans, plenty of water, cooling coats on the dogs, and obviously no walks apart from toilet trips. Volunteers will spend time with the hounds in kennels and they will have enrichment activities, brain games and stuffed Kongs to keep them occupied.
Please ensure you and your dogs stay safe in the heat, which will only be short lived. Before we know it, it will be raining again!
