FRIDAY FEATURE – HILLY

Our Friday Feature this week is the lovely HILLY. This boy, with the puppy dog eyes, arrived with us back in April and was recently lucky to spend a weekend away from kennels with our volunteer Andy.

As expected, Hilly found the strange dog in the mirror very interesting and enjoyed investigating Andy’s house thoroughly when he arrived. After a couple of false starts he soon got the hang of having to ask to go outside for his toilet. Hilly enjoyed spending time snuggled up to Andy on the sofa and also spent the night on his bed too.

Hilly enjoyed long walks but made his feelings known about any cats he met – he really isn’t a fan! Hilly still struggles with meeting other breeds of dog too, we feel he will need to be an only dog in the household and homed with someone who has hound experience.

He is an affectionate lad who loves humans and did enjoy playing with Andy – and tried to get some dog shaped ornaments in the home to join in too ?

To sum up Andy described Hilly as ‘very gentle and also very polite’ and he also said he’d love to have him again! (We may hold him to this). If you would like to find out more about Hilly featured here please contact either Sue our re-homing co-ordinator on 07794463249 or Siobhan at kennels on 07960561988.
