6 year old Alice joined us in September last year and soon settled in. This lovely girl, even though she is six years of age, is very fit for her age and does look forward to her daily walks.
Alice is a character, is full of personality and doesn’t want to miss a thing. She especially loves toys and to pinch them off other greyhounds if possible!
Alice is a very affectionate girl with all our volunteers and also loves to spend time with the other greyhounds. She has spent some time in our enrichment (home from home) room and enjoys playing with toys and watching the TV.
Alice has recently enjoyed several days out with one of our experienced volunteers and we’re told she enjoyed all the new experiences on offer, and was very relaxed when visiting their home afterwards. Alice travels well in the car too.
Due to all the work undertaken by our volunteers Alice is a much more settled girl now compared to when she arrived with us. Her reactivity to other breeds has considerably lessened and she will now walk past other breeds calmly.
For Alice we’re looking for a home with someone who has experience of larger dogs, but not necessarily greyhounds. We feel Alice would be happy to live as an only hound or could equally happily live with another male hound. She would benefit from the company of an adopter who is at home a large amount of time, and this is especially important during the initial settling in phase. We feel Alice would be best suited to live with older children 13 plus.
