DOG OF THE MONTH FOR MARCH – PELE
Today, 31st March, it’s our last opportunity to put PELE our dog of the month for March, in the spotlight.
This young lad has won the hearts of so many of our volunteers, and no more so than Lisa who took him out for the day last week.
Lisa tells us:
‘PELE is an absolute dream! I picked him up and we set off for Rivington, and he was a fabulous car traveller. We walked the length of lower Rivington reservoir, up towards the church and stopped off at the Village Green Tea Rooms and had refreshments and treats of course. Pele was so well behaved. Along the way we met some little furry friends and we stopped to say hello. Pele was happy to make friends with them and was even happier to receive some treats for his excellent behaviour! He also had a little paddle in the reservoir, watching the children on their boats,
PELE then came back to mine for a little while where he found a plush toy he liked. He made himself at home having cuddles on the sofa and a snooze before heading back to kennels in time for tea.
I would describe PELE as an absolute super star! He’s well behaved, happy to meet all breeds of dog, and humans. He’s easy to walk and never pulls while enjoying his new environment taking in the sights, sounds and smells. I think that whoever ends up adopting this charming young boy is one lucky human, as he’s so full of love and affection’.
Our thanks to Lisa for taking PELE out for the day, it sounds like the day was equally enjoyed by both of them. Full details on our homing requirements, along with an application form, can be found on our website www.makants.uk
