*CHARLIE – IN FOSTER JUNE 2020*
Kennel hound Charlie is currently in foster care locally and is doing well. His foster carer Leanne reports that ‘he has settled in well and is a chilled boy who spends most of the day lying down!’
Charlie sleeps on his own through the night without a peep and has been clean in the house with no accidents at all. He has spent an hour in the house on his own recently and was fine at being left.
Charlie has shown what a great dog he is in the house but out on walks his current behaviour does let him down. He does walk well on the lead but reacts by barking at other breeds of dog he meets, especially smaller breeds. His foster family are working with him on this currently walking him in open areas away from smaller dogs, and reassuring him when he sees them from afar. We’re hoping that with their guidance he will make good progress in this area of his behaviour.
