BUSY MORNING AT KENNELS

Wow, we’ve had such a busy morning at kennels. So many customers to the shop, so many lovely visitors with donations – and we also held a very successful MacMillan Coffee morning on site too!

Here’s greyhound RASHFORD having a fitting for a new coat this morning at kennels courtesy of our volunteer Sue. His family are obviously happy with the service we provide as they travel some distance to come and visit us. The shop is open every Saturday morning 10 am to 12.30 pm and on a Thursday from 10 am to 3 pm.

Wendy and Fiona were busy packing calendars, coats, halloween hats and collars along with these doggie cake treats to take to the Great Global Greyhound Walk TOMORROW Sunday 29th September. As a reminder the walk details are:

Due to a large number of participants expected please follow signs for parking. Please access from the East Lancs via Higher Green Lane – the sign will be on the left just before the museum with parking in the field there.

(There’s direct access from the field into the back of the museum where we are meeting)

Location: Lancashire Mining Museum, Higher Green Lane, Astley. M29 7JB

Start: 10.00 meet for walk to start at 10.30 am

Walk duration: I hour walk (shorter option available)

Parking: Free parking at the Mining Museum

Facilities: Toilets and cafe on site, stall with treats, dog merchandise etc. Dog friendly public house next door

Donation: we ask for a £2 per hound donation please.
