AUGUST IS REMEMBRANCE MONTH AT MAKANTS
❤On 5th August we will remember our much loved Makants hound PATRICK who passed away on this day in 2021, having been with us in kennels for five years. Patrick was very dear to us and much loved by all our volunteers who remember him fondly.
❤Also, on 28th August it is Rainbow Bridge Remembrance day – a day to remember all those pets who we have loved and lost.
In our soon to be completed sensory garden we already have a memorial area for Patrick, known as ‘Patrick’s Patch’. During the month of August we plan to remember him – and other pets no longer with us – and would like to invite you to get involved.
Would you sponsor a hanging ‘winged greyhound heart’ (as shown) which will be displayed in the garden for the month of August? If you let us know if it is for Patrick – or another much loved and missed pet – we can share your details on our social media channels. We will also share photos as the memorial hearts are added to the tree in Patrick’s Patch. (Please note we only have a limited number of hearts and unfortunately cannot offer any colour preference).
