Alan completes fundraiser!
Today (Saturday 29th) volunteer Alan Webb completed a marathon distance fundraiser for us. He was up bright and early leaving kennels at 7 am and returning 7 hours later – and still with a smile on his face! Alan’s daughter Rachel was pleased to accompany him on the last leg of his journey.
Alan met many people and greyhounds along the way and has this to say about his day: ‘Today was a very special day. I’ve been overwhelmed by people’s generosity, we have reached at least £1250 (to be confirmed) for the rescue. I’d like to say a massive thank you to everyone who has sponsored me, to those who came out to support me along the route (it really helped seeing a friendly face) and for the warm welcome back at kennels’.
Siobhan would like to send her thanks to Alan for undertaking this fundraiser and to thank everyone for their generosity which means so much, especially in these difficult times. We can’t thank Alan enough for making so much effort for us, we really hope he now has his feet up having a well deserved rest!
