❤VALENTINE’S WEEK❤

We know some of our walking volunteers build up a strong bond with the dog they walk each week, even more so if the hound is in kennels for any length of time.

We asked volunteer Jane about her Valentine hound MILLIE and this is what she had to say:

‘I absolutely adore MILLIE and have been walking her twice a week for over a year now. Let me start by saying that this girl is not your typical greyhound! She is certainly quirky and definitely has her own personality. She is such a loving girl and is always pleased to see you.

I love to spend time with her in her kennel after a walk and I’ve found her to be a very sensitive soul who shows empathy, always being able to pick up on how I’m feeling.
Millie has a happy outlook on life and, no matter what your day or week has been like, spending time with Millie always makes it much better!

Millie’s reactivity towards other breeds has certainly improved and she now knows what behaviour is expected of her. Having consistent regular walkers has also helped her improve her behaviour.

Working full time I’m not currently in a position to adopt Millie but certainly would if I could. Millie will definitely make a lucky someone a wonderful companion.’❤
