🌟National Volunteers’ week 3 – 9 JUNE 2024🌟
We are always looking for more people to join our fundraising team in order for the rescue to continue to flourish.
Today we’re sharing information on fundraiser and dog walker Gillian Howson, who has been volunteering with us for 2 years.
Gillian says: ‘I’ve been volunteering for over 2 years now and it’s the best thing I’ve ever done! I help with fundraising at the Christmas Fair and have also attended in store events at Pets at Home, Horwich, one of our partnered stores, with one of my own dogs, Holly.
Volunteering for Makants gives me a purpose and I also love to walk and spend time with kennel hound Laddie every Saturday. I’ve got two dogs of my own, and am unfortunately unable to take on another, but in my head Laddie is my 3rd dog. ❤Volunteering gives me such happiness, and to spend time with the dogs and like minded people, is truly wonderful.
