DECEMBER 2025

 

From 1st – 24th December we are taking part in the Santa Paws appeal at our local partnered Pets at Home stores (Walkden and Horwich)  Our volunteers will be hard at work in store supporting the appeal during this time and would love to see you!

 

Saturday 6th December 2025 – Our last nail clipping session of the year is taking place on Saturday 6th December, 11.30 to 12.30 pm at kennels. Greyhounds only please.

*We would respectfully ask that anyone attends during this hour ONLY.*

No appointment is required but please be advised that you may have a lengthy wait to be seen, we also do ask for a donation to the rescue for this service.
Our kennels shop will be open for sales of treats, collars, leads, coats etc. We are also stockists of Ostrich bones, priced at £16.
You are responsible for yourself and your dog (s). You MUST muzzle your dog if there is the possibility they may be reactive towards other dogs.

Saturday 6th December 2025 – We are pleased to once again have a stall on the popular Chorley craft market on Fazakerley Street. Selling handmade items including dog coats for all breeds, we will also have plenty of items suitable for Xmas gifts. Plus of course some greyhounds for you to meet!  We’re there 10 am to 3 pm.

Sunday 7th December 2025 – 11 am to 3 pm. We are pleased to have a small fundraising stall at the Christmas Market at the Stonemill Public House, Sandy Lane West, Warrington, WA2 9SA. We will have lots of Xmas themed merchandise for sale along with handcrafted items, many suitable for gifts. Please support your local greyhound rescue.
Sunday 7th December 2025 – 1 – 6 pm. Ashton’s Christmas Market, Ashton in Makerfield market, WN4 9AF. We are pleased to return to this very popular family event. We’ll have lots of hand made items, including dog coats and gift items. We also should have our famous tombola and some greyhounds for you to meet too. Please support this fabulous event – and your local greyhound rescue!
 Friday 12th December 2025 – Wild Mint Cafe, Golden Days Garden Centre, Back Lane, Wigan, WN6 8RS, 11 am to 3.30 pm. We are pleased to be attending this popular event – being held adjacent to the cafe at Golden Days Garden centre – with many crafts hand made by members of our own Crafters group. We’ll have many items suitable for Christmas gifts along with hand made dog coats (all breeds).
There are concession stores in the Garden centre too, definitely worth a trip out!
