Saturday 7th February 2026 – We are pleased to have the opportunity to fundraise and raise awareness at a new venue in the New Year. We will be in the foyer at the ASDA Superstore, Sheephill Lane, Clayton Le Woods, PR6 7JY from  10 am to 2 pm. With a Valentine’s theme, we will have greyhounds for you to meet along with crafts and dog related items for sale. NAIL CLIPPING

Our next clipping session at kennels is taking place on Saturday 7th February 2026, 11.30 to 12.30 pm. Greyhounds only please. *We would respectfully ask that anyone attends during this hour ONLY.*

No appointment is required but please be advised that you may have a lengthy wait to be seen, we also do ask for a donation to the rescue for this service.

Our kennels shop will be open for sales of treats, collars, leads, coats etc. We are also stockists of Ostrich bones, priced at £16.

You are responsible for yourself and your dog (s). You MUST muzzle your dog if there is the possibility they may be reactive towards other dogs.

Saturday 14th February 2026 – We are pleased to be returning to the Tesco Haydock store in the New Year from 10 am to 4 pm. We’ll have some greyhounds for you to meet and it’s an ideal opportunity to come along and find out what wonderful pets they make. Please do stop for a chat if you’re out shopping.

Sunday 15th February 2026 – Valentine’s Sighthound social dog walk

Bramhall Park, Bramhall Park Road, SK7 3NX

Meet in main car park from 9.30 am, walk starts at 10.00 am

Two routes available of 1 hour or 35 minutes

*Pay and display car park *Cafe *Toilets

*Valentine’s theme fancy dress (only if your hound is happy to do so) with a prize for the best dressed hound.

*Merchandise stall selling dog coats and natural treats *Raffle with lovely prizes

*Suggested donation of £2 per hound

*This is a sighthound only walk but companion dogs of other breeds, who live with a sighthound, are welcome too.

**This is a social dog walk organised by Makants Greyhound Rescue. You are responsible for yourself and your dog(s). Please muzzle your dog if they may be reactive. Suitable footwear and clothing is advised. All dogs to remain on leads, no extendable leads please

Sunday 22nd February 2026 – 11 am to 1 pm. We are pleased to return to the Pets at Home, Walkden store. We’ll have items for sale, a tombola and of course some greyhounds for you to meet too. See you there!

Sunday 1st March 2026 – 10 am to 2 pm – We are pleased to be returning to Avant Garden centre, Wigan Road, Leyland once again. We’ll have dog related merchandise and hand made crafts for sale – and some lovely greyhounds for you to meet too!. If you’ve ever wondered about adopting a greyhound why not come along and find out more about this wonderful breed.

Saturday 7th March 2026 – Craft fair, Atherton Methodist Church, High Street, Atherton. M46 9DW,from 10 am to 2.30 pm  We are pleased to be attending this local Craft Fair. We will have lots of hand made items courtesy of our Crafters group. Come along and have a browse, please support your local greyhound rescue.
