Saturday 14th March 2026 – Fundraising and raising awareness at Worker Bee Markets Mother’s Day event. Taking place in Bramhall Square, SK7 1AW, 10 am to 3 pm. We are pleased to return to this popular event. We’ll have hand made dog coats and collars, small craft items and natural dog treats for sale. We also hope to have some greyhounds for you to meet. Please come along and support the market – and your local greyhound rescue.

Saturday 21st March 2026, 9 am to 4 pm. Walkden Artisan Street fayre, main shopping centre, Bolton Road, Walkden M28 3ZH. We are pleased to be returning to this popular Artisan Fayre in Walkden. We’ll have a full stall of craft items for sale, many suitable for gifts. Please come along and see what we have and support your local greyhound rescue too.

Sunday 22nd March, 11 am to 1 pm. We’re pleased to be returning to the Pets at Home store in Horwich. We’ll have some items for sale and greyhounds for you to meet too. Come along and find out more about greyhounds as pets, we’d love to meet you!

Sunday 12th April 2026 -We are pleased to be holding a sighthound social dog walk at Quarry Bank Mill on Sunday 12th April 2026. Walk details are as follows:

Meet in the main car park from 9.30 am with the walk to start at 10 am. There are two walk options, a shorter walk of 30 minutes and a longer one of approximately one hour.

Cafe and toilets on site. Parking is free.

Please note: neither walk includes the formal gardens. These require a paid admission ticket (free for NT members).

Both our walks are routed through the wider Styal Country Park estate.

This is a sighthound only walk but companion dogs of other breeds, who live with a sighthound, are welcome too.

All dogs must remain on leads, no extendable leads please.

This is a social dog walk organised by Makants Greyhound Rescue. You are responsible for yourself and your dog(s). Please muzzle your dog if they may be reactive. Suitable footwear and clothing is advised.
