WALKS

With the end of British Summer time today and the dark nights ahead of us, we thought it was a good time to post a little reminder. We hope this will be of benefit to those with newly adopted greyhounds as well as a general reminder to other greyhound owners.

Please remember greyhounds will not be used to walking in the dark.

They can easily get spooked at this time of year with fireworks going off at night and randomly throughout the day.

To ensure their safety please ALWAYS ensure collars and harnesses are on securely. We recommend harnesses which have an extra strap such as the ‘Rabbit Goo’ escape proof harness or ‘Ruffwear’ webmaster together with a collar and lead.

If possible also try to walk in daylight hours.
