PHEBY

💗PHEBY💗
In Memoriam

We recently were saddened to hear the news of the passing of adopted Makants hound PHEBY.

PHEBY, known initially as FIRE, was a very special greyhound girl who was born in 2012 in the notorious (and now closed) Canidrome in Macau. For the first 7 years of her life she sadly had to ensure harsh conditions and treatment. However, due to a successful campaign to free all 500 plus greyhounds there she was able to leave the Canidrome and come to the UK in 2019.

Coming over to the UK in February of that year she was collected by Sue and Siobhan from Heathrow and renamed Pheby (the maiden name of Siobhan’s mother). She soon settled into life in the UK, enjoying walks in the fields and finding pleasure in everything new to her, even a simple roll in the grass.💗

PHEBY was subsequently adopted by Julia in July of that year and went onto to enjoy a wonderful life with her moving to live in North Wales and spending lots of time on the beach, and on camping holidays too.

Described by Julia as a ‘Warrior Princess with a gentle aura’ we know she will be greatly missed by Julia and all those who met and loved her.

We send our love to Julia at this very sad time.
