5 year old GARETH arrived with us on the 10th March 2025. He was a little timid at first but settled in after a couple of weeks. Now he is used to our routine he looks forward to walk time and also loves to receive as much fuss as possible from our volunteers. Gareth walks well on the lead and is fine when meeting other breeds of dog when out and about.

Although by nature he can be a little cautious of new people and new situations, Gareth has really gained in confidence during his time with us.

Described by Siobhan as a ‘handsome boy’ he is an easy hound to care for and has a quiet, calm nature. Having said this he also his his playful moments and loves to play with his toys! Gareth has had some very successful days out at local parks with our experienced volunteers and took all new experiences in his stride.

We are looking for an adopter with some experience of owning a dog, but not necessarily a greyhound. Gareth could live with another large breed dog or would be equally as happy to be the only hound in the house. Any children would need to be 13 plus.
