Saturday 14th March 2026 – 10 am to 3 pm We are pleased to be returning to Tyldesley Makers market which is held in the town square. We’ll have hand made crafts, dog coats and other dog related items for sale. We’d love to see you, please support your local greyhound rescue!
Makants supporter – and dog lover – Linda Tonge has organised several Soul and Motown fundraising nights this year taking place at Boothstown British Legion. The first one is to be held on Friday 27th March, with half of funds raised coming to us 😁 What a great way to have a fun night out and support a local rescue. Full details can be found on the flyer above, definitely a date for your diary!
Sunday 12th April 2026 -We are pleased to be holding a sighthound social dog walk at Quarry Bank Mill on Sunday 12th April 2026. Walk details are as follows:
Meet in the main car park from 9.30 am with the walk to start at 10 am. There are two walk options, a shorter walk of 30 minutes and a longer one of approximately one hour.
Cafe and toilets on site. Parking is free.
Please note: neither walk includes the formal gardens. These require a paid admission ticket (free for NT members).Both our walks are routed through the wider Styal Country Park estate.
This is a sighthound only walk but companion dogs of other breeds, who live with a sighthound, are welcome too. All dogs must remain on leads, no extendable leads please.
This is a social dog walk organised by Makants Greyhound Rescue. You are responsible for yourself and your dog(s). Please muzzle your dog if they may be reactive. Suitable footwear and clothing is advised.
We are pleased to have the opportunity to fundraise and raise awareness at the ASDA Superstore, Sheephill Lane, Clayton Le Woods, PR6 7JY FROM 10 am to 3 pm. We will have greyhounds for you to meet and crafts and dog related items for sale.
