We’ll have adopted greyhounds for you to meet and volunteers who love to talk ‘all things greyhound’. If you’re interested in finding out more about the breed why not come along?

Friday 8th May 2026 – 10 am to 4 pm, Bury market, Murray Road, Bury BL9 OBJ. We are pleased to have secured a fundraising stall on Bury market for the first time. We’ll have a mixture of hand made crafts for sale and dog related items too. Find us outside on Market Parade, look forward to seeing you.

Saturday 9th May 2026 – 10 am to 3 pm

We are pleased to have the opportunity to fundraise and raise awareness at the ASDA Superstore, Sheephill Lane, Clayton Le Woods, PR6 7JY FROM 10 am to 3 pm. We will have greyhounds for you to meet and crafts and dog related items for sale.

Sunday 10th May 2026 – sighthound social dog walk, Cuerden Valley Park, Berkeley Drive, Bamber Bridge. PR5 6BY

We are pleased to return to Cuerden Valley Park for a sighthound social dog walk on Sunday 10th May 2026.Time: 10.15 am for walk to set off prompt at 10.30
Meet: car park by main cafe
Walk is one hour in duration in a circular route. There are gradual inclines and declines. (shorter route available if required)
*Dog friendly cafe, toilets available
*Pay and display car park (pay on exit)
*This is a sighthound only walk*All dogs must remain on leads, no extendable leads please.This is a social dog walk organised by Makants Greyhound Rescue. You are responsible for yourself and your dog(s). Please muzzle your dog if they may be reactive. Suitable footwear and clothing is advised.

Sunday 17th May 2026 -12 noon to 4 pm. Flea Market at Atherton Botanical Gardens, Tyldesley Road, Atherton M46 9AE. We are pleased to be attending this Flea Market, raising funds for Makants Greyhound Rescue. Come along and find a bargain or two!

 

Saturday 23rd May 2026 –  10 am to 4 pm We are pleased to be returning to the Tesco Haydock store (Bellerophan Way, St.Helens WA11) for an in store collection and awareness event.
We’ll have some greyhounds for you to meet and it’s an ideal opportunity to come along and find out what wonderful pets they make. We’d love you to stop for a chat if you’re out shopping.

Saturday 30th May 2026 – 11 am to 3 pm – Fun Dog Show at Worker Bee Market, Houldsworth Arms, Broadstone Road, Reddish. Sk5 7AE

We are holding a fun dog show once again at this Worker Bee market in Reddish. Categories will be announced shortly – watch this space!
