Four year old BRANSTON arrived with us on the 28th July 2026.
BRANSTON
Four year old BRANSTON arrived with us on the 28th July 2026. This lovely lad is settling in well and certainly hasn't got himself into a 'pickle' đ BRANSTON spent some time in a home prior to arriving with us and he coped well with the initial transition from kennels. He is a handsome and friendly boy who loves his walks. He walks well on the lead and is fine with larger breeds of dog - but just needs a bit more practice meeting smaller breeds. For BRANSTON we are looking for adopters who have experience of caring for larger breeds of dog. We would also prefer children in the household to be 10 years plus (purely because he is a bigger dog and could knock small children over). We feel BRANSTON would make a lovely family dog and would enjoy all the activities an active family could offer him. Five year old JAMES arrived with us on the 22nd July 2026.

JAMES No cats DOB Nov 2020 Five year old JAMES arrived with us on the 22nd July 2026. he is settling in well and has been described as a 'big sloth' due to his laziness! He has no idea that he is a big greyhound and believes that he is small enough to be a lap dog - and will try his best to squeeze himself on volunteers laps if he has the opportunity! JAMES walks well on the lead and is fine with other breeds of dog he meets when out and about. No cats DOB July 2022 4 year old CASH arrived with us on the 22nd July 2026.Cash is a larger boy and has settled in well, showing us what a gentle and loving boy he is! Already described by Siobhan as a âlovely boyâ CASH can initially be quite excited to go out for a walk but after a couple of minutes he settles down and walks well. He does enjoys his daily walks with our volunteers and is fine with any other breed of dog he meets when out and about. CASH loves people and loves toys even more. He loves to collect any toys he comes across, but doesnât actually play with them! Described by Siobhan as 'really sweet', LOU is a lovely friendly girl who is ready to find her forever home. She has been enjoying her daily walks with our volunteers and weâre told she walks well on the lead. LOU is a quiet girl and can appear timid but her confidence has increased already since she arrived with us. LOU loves spending time with our volunteers, loves to play with toys and has enjoyed spending time in our home from home room. A friendly boy, SKIPPY is smaller in stature for a male dog and walks well on the lead. He has recently had a dental procedure and as a result only has a few teeth remaining - donât worry though it doesnât affect his ability to scoff his food! For SKIPPY weâre looking for an adopter with experience of larger dogs and would prefer children in the home to be 13 years plus. 3.5 year old DANCER joined us on the 8th June 2026. He's the brother of new arrival MO.

NO CATS NO SMALL DOGS DANCER DOB 1.11.22 3.5 year old DANCER joined us on the 8th June 2026. DANCER is a lovely boy who walks well on the lead and enjoys time spent with our volunteers. He has been taking in all the new experiences on offer and has enjoyed time spent in our enrichment (home from home) room and especially enjoys playing with toys. Dancer also enjoyed a day out recently (when it was cooler) with experienced volunteer Lisa. As it was his first day out from kennels he was understandably a little nervous travelling in the car, but soon settled down. Lisa tells us he was 'amazing' once they arrived in Rivington and was making new friends with everyone they met! DANCER enjoyed all the new experiences the visit brought - and also had the opportunity to have a little paddle. We're looking for a home where DANCER would have company for a large part of the day. 3.5 year old AL arrived with us on the 9th May 2026.

No cats D.O.B. 4.8.22 Handsome 3.5 year old AL arrived with us on the 9th May 2026. AL loves to see the volunteer walkers and walks well on the lead. He is interested to see there are other breeds of dog on his walks but doesn't react negatively towards them. He has shown he is a confident, friendly and affectionate boy who also enjoys spending time in the enrichment (home from home) room playing with toys. AL doesn't like to miss out and loves to be involved in everything that's going on! He has spent days out with our volunteers and another hound and has always behaved well. AL could live in a home with another female hound or would be equally happy as an only dog. We're looking for a home where AL would have company for a large part of the day and we would prefer any children in the household to be 13 plus years of age. *No cats* OK with larger breeds of dog D.O.B. 3.21 5 year old TED arrived with us on the 9th May 2026. Ted has settled in well and is showing us what a gentle and loving boy he is! He walks well on the lead and isn't bothered by the traffic and is described by Siobhan as a 'lovely boy'. He has already enjoyed time spent in the enrichment (home from home) room playing with toys. He's also seen a washing machine for the first time too! TED could live as an only hound or would be equally happy to live with another female hound. ALICE
6 year old ALICE joined us in September 2025.
ALICE
No cats No small dogs D.O.B. 24.9.19 6 year old Alice joined us in September last year and soon settled in. This lovely girl, even though she is six years of age, is very fit for her age and does look forward to her daily walks. Alice is a character, is full of personality and doesn't want to miss a thing. She especially loves toys and to pinch them off other greyhounds if possible! Alice is a very affectionate girl with all our volunteers and also loves to spend time with the other greyhounds. She has spent some time in our enrichment (home from home) room and enjoys playing with toys and watching the TV. Alice has recently enjoyed several days out with one of our experienced volunteers and weâre told she enjoyed all the new experiences on offer, and was very relaxed when visiting their home afterwards. Alice travels well in the car too. Due to all the work undertaken by our volunteers Alice is a much more settled girl now compared to when she arrived with us. Her reactivity to other breeds has considerably lessened and she will now walk past other breeds calmly. For Alice weâre looking for a home with someone who has experience of larger dogs, but not necessarily greyhounds. We feel Alice would be happy to live as an only hound or could equally happily live with another male hound. She would benefit from the company of an adopter who is at home a large amount of time, and this is especially important during the initial settling in phase. Seven year old EXPRESS arrived with us on the 12th November 2024.
EXPRESS
No cats No small dogs D.O.B. 7.3.19 Seven year old EXPRESS arrived with us on the 12th November 2024 and settled in well. Initially he was a little wary and took some time to get to know our volunteers and routine, but soon started to relax. His confidence has continued to increase with each passing day. At the beginning Express was reactive towards other breeds of dog that he met on his daily walks. Through daily exposure - and guidance from our walking volunteers - his behaviour has changed and he can now walk past any breed of dog calmly. He also enjoys a fuss after his walk and has spent some time in our enrichment room with our volunteers. He particularly loves zooming around our sand paddock! Recently Express enjoyed some time away from kennels, walking in Worsley woods where he had new experiences including noisy trucks and workmen laying a new path. We're pleased to say he took everything in his stride and was particularly happy to meet one of our volunteers and her hounds while on their walk. We are grateful to our volunteers for enabling Express to have new experiences such as this, all of which is vital preparation for his new life as a pet. We are looking for a quiet home for Express with someone who has some greyhound/large dog experience. REGGIE
6 year old REGGIE joined us on the 6th April 2024.
REGGIE
No cats No small dogs D.O.B. 5.1.20 Now 6 years old, REGGIE arrived with us in April 2024. REGGIE is a very loving dog and weâve found him to be a very friendly and affectionate boy who loves fuss and his toys in equal measure. He loves to meet any visitors to kennels and laps up the attention - and he certainly has a well established fan club amongst the volunteers at kennels! As well as his daily walks he has enjoyed days out to Rivington and he recently had a sleepover with Lisa, one of our volunteers. Weâre told he behaved impeccably settling to sleep with no fuss at all and was clean in the house throughout his stay. In fact Lisa said he had been an âabsolute delightâ to have in the home. The only thing that lets Reggie down is his reactivity towards other breeds of dog. Having said that his reactivity can be selective and his behaviour has improved thanks to work undertaken by our walking volunteers. We think REGGIE would be happy to live as an only dog as he would love nothing more than having all the humans to himself and would like someone around for some part of the day. LADDIE
Six year old LADDIE joined us on the 18th November 2022.
LADDIE
No cats No small dogs ADULT ONLY HOME D.O.B. 10.9.19 Six year old LADDIE joined us on the 18th November 2022. Described by Siobhan as a 'lovely gentle and friendly lad', LADDIE has settled in well. He loves a cuddle and gets on well with all our female greyhounds, but with male greyhounds he is a little more picky who he spends his time with. Laddie can be an anxious boy at times if he finds himself in a new situation but can be reassured by his regular walkers who he ABSOLUTELY loves. *We are looking for an ADULT ONLY HOME for Laddie.* Recently Laddie has enjoyed time spent in our sensory garden and also loves volunteers spending time with him after walks. photo credit Shilpa Grewal, Alex, Jo Maxwell
