DIVO

5 year old DIVO joined us on the 23rd April 2026.

DIVO

No cats 5 year old DIVO joined us on the 23rd April 2026. He's a confident boy who can be strong on the lead at first due to excitement at going out on a walk! He soon calms down. We'll share more information when we've got to know him better. photos Shilpa Grewal

4 year old shy boy YOGI joined us on the 23rd April 2026.

4.5 year old LUNA arrived with us on the 23rd April 2026.

No cats 4.5 year old LUNA arrived with us on the 23rd April 2026. She is the litter sister to recently adopted MOON (now Cleo) Luna is a friendly girl with a lovely nature and is settling in well. More information to follow as we get to know her. photos Shilpa Grewal

3.5 year old ISABEL joined us on the 23rd April 2026.

No cats 3.5 year old ISABEL joined us on the 23rd April 2026. She's a friendly girl who is a little wary of traffic and traffic noises at the moment. As so much is new to her we will let her settle and then update you again. photo Shilpa Grewal

DAN

Two year old DAN joined us on the 21st April 2026.

No cats Two year old DAN joined us on the 21st April 2026. DAN is a friendly boy and settling in well. He's already spent time in our enrichment (home from home) room and gave the room a very thorough inspection! More information to follow. photos Sharon Middling, Shilpa Grewal

ANGEL

ANGEL, originally homed by us late last year, has found herself back in kennels through no fault of her own.

ANGEL

No cats ANGEL, originally homed by us late last year, has found herself back in kennels through no fault of her own. ANGEL, although a little timid at finding herself back in kennels, is settling in well. She enjoys the attention of our walking volunteers and loves to play with her toys. She walks well on the lead, doesn’t react to other breeds of dog and loves walking with the other greyhounds. Occasionally ANGEL does needs reassurance from our volunteers if she comes across a situation she's not sure about when out on her walks. For ANGEL we are looking for an adult only, quiet home with an adopter who can spend time at home with ANGEL initially helping her settle in. Anyone interested in adopting her would need to spend some time visiting and walking her at kennels in order to build up a trusting relationship. photos Shilpa Grewal

MARSHALL

3.5 year old MARSHALL joined us on the 26th March 2026.

MARSHALL

No cats 3.5 year old MARSHALL joined us on the 26th March 2026. He has settled in well and has shown himself to be a very affectionate boy who is quietly confident and is fast becoming a favourite with our walking volunteers. He walks well on the lead and enjoys his daily walks with the other greyhounds. Marshall could be homed as an only dog or equally could live with a female large dog. He would like someone around at home, especially in the early days, to help him settle in. Marshall is our dog of the month for May 2026. photos Shilpa Grewal, Lucy Dee

4.5 year old black girl SWALLOW arrived with us on 20th March 2026.

SWALLOW (female)

No cats - 4.5 year old black girl SWALLOW arrived with us on 20th March 2026. She is a confident girl and took her first photo session, on only her second day, in her stride. She always has a waggy tail for our volunteers and has been fine when meeting other breeds of dog, including small breeds. www.makants.uk photos Shilpa Grewal

5.5 year old black girl LACY arrived with us on 20th March 2026.

LACY

No cats - Good with other breeds of dog - 3.5 year old black girl LACY arrived with us on 20th March 2026. It's still early days for LACY but she is settling in well. LACY seems to be a confident girl when out on her walks. She is fine with other breeds of dog she meets. LACY is an affectionate girl and loves spending time in our home from home room with our volunteers, often thinking she is a lap dog! He's a lovely friendly boy who is easy to walk and doesn't react when meeting other breeds of dog. No cats - needs someone around at home - 3.5 year old dark brindle and white lad JOEL arrived with us on 20th March 2026. It's still early days for JOEL but he is settling in well. He is a quiet, timid boy and would benefit from being homed where there is already another greyhound in the home. OTTO

*OTTO is now RESERVED* Three year old OTTO arrived with us on the 2nd February 2026.

OTTO

No cats - Three year old OTTO arrived with us on the 2nd February 2026. OTTO is a lovely dog who is quiet in kennels, easy to walk and enjoys the company of other greyhounds. He has been fine when meeting other breeds of dog on his daily walks and is not reactive. However, OTTO remains anxious if he hears any unexpected loud noises (traffic related) and we hope that with exposure his anxiety will lessen. We are looking for a home where the applicants have previous experience of large dogs. OTTO, we think, would like to live with another dog too. photos Shilpa Grewal

GEORGE

*GEORGE is now RESERVED* Three year old 'gorgeous' GEORGE arrived with us on the 17th January 2026.

GEORGE

No cats - Three year old GEORGE arrived with us on the 17th January and is the brother to recently adopted Arthur (now Milo). GEORGE is a friendly boy and is settling in well. He seems great with other breeds of dog he meets when out on his walks. He walks well on the lead and is already starting to form his own fan club amongst our volunteers. ALICE

6 year old ALICE joined us in September 2025.

ALICE

No cats - No small dogs - 6 year old Alice joined us in September and soon settled in. This lovely girl, even though she is six years of age, is very fit for her age and does look forward to her daily walks. Alice is a character, is full of personality and doesn't want to miss a thing. She especially loves toys and to pinch them off other greyhounds if possible! Alice is a very affectionate girl with all our volunteers and also loves to spend time with the other greyhounds. She has already spent some time in our enrichment (home from home) room which she fully inspected, enjoyed playing with toys, but was quite curious about the T.V. on the wall. For Alice we’re looking for a home with someone who has experience of larger dogs, but not necessarily greyhounds. We feel Alice would be happy to live as an only hound or could equally happily live with another male hound. She would benefit from the company of an adopter who is at home a large amount of time, and this is especially important during the initial settling in phase. We feel Alice would be best suited to live with older children 13 plus. EXPRESS

Six year old EXPRESS arrived with us on the 12th November 2024.

EXPRESS

No cats - No small dogs - Six year old EXPRESS arrived with us on the 12th November 2024 and settled in well. Initially he was a little wary and took some time to get to know our volunteers and routine, but soon started to relax. His confidence has continued to increase with each passing day. At the beginning Express was reactive towards other breeds of dog that he met on his daily walks. Through daily exposure - and guidance from our walking volunteers - his behaviour has changed and he can now walk past any breed of dog calmly. He also enjoys a fuss after his walk and has spent some time in our enrichment room with our volunteers. He particularly loves zooming around our sand paddock! Recently Express enjoyed some time away from kennels, walking in Worsley woods where he had new experiences including noisy trucks and workmen laying a new path. We're pleased to say he took everything in his stride and was particularly happy to meet one of our volunteers and her hounds while on their walk. We are grateful to our volunteers for enabling Express to have new experiences such as this, all of which is vital preparation for his new life as a pet. We are looking for a quiet home for Express with someone who has some greyhound/large dog experience. REGGIE

6 year old REGGIE joined us on the 6th April 2024.

REGGIE

No cats - No small dogs - REGGIE arrived with us in April 2024 and soon settled in. We’ve found him to be a friendly and affectionate boy who loves fuss and his toys in equal measure. He loves to meet any visitors to kennels and laps up the attention! He recently spent some time 'helping' our volunteer John in the sand paddock as he loves human company - and loves to see what's going on! REGGIE also likes his daily walks and can get excited initially when going out but soon settles down. His reactivity towards other breeds has really lessened now thanks to work undertaken by our walking volunteers. REGGIE is a very loving dog. We think he would be happy to live as an only dog as he would love nothing more than having all the humans to himself. We're looking for people with some experience of owning a large dog, not necessarily a greyhound, for him. LADDIE

Six year old LADDIE joined us on the 18th November 2022.

LADDIE

No cats - No small dogs - ADULT ONLY HOME - Six year old LADDIE joined us on the 18th November 2022. Described by Siobhan as a 'lovely gentle and friendly lad', LADDIE has settled in well. He loves a cuddle and gets on well with all our female greyhounds, but with male greyhounds he is a little more picky who he spends his time with. Laddie can be an anxious boy at times if he finds himself in a new situation but can be reassured by his regular walkers who he ABSOLUTELY loves. *We are looking for an ADULT ONLY HOME for Laddie.* Recently Laddie has enjoyed time spent in our sensory garden and also loves volunteers spending time with him after walks in his kennel (as these photos show) photo credit Shilpa Grewal, Alex, Jo Maxwell
