*MAKANTS 10 YEAR CELEBRATIONS*
**YORKSHIRE THREE PEAKS FUNDRAISING**
As you know later this year we celebrate our 10th birthday. Volunteers Sharon and Nicola have been working hard behind the scenes coming up with different ideas to raise the profile of the rescue, and also to raise funds. Along with social dog walks they also had another idea……
Sharon says ‘We came up with the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge as something different. A way of still raising the profile of Makants, but about getting more people involved in a personal challenge to raise a significant amount of money for Makants. It was about us adopters and volunteers doing something for the greyhounds’.
The group of 15 volunteers – plus two support drivers – started their training in earnest on 5th March with the challenge taking place on the 9th July this year.
