Dog of the month *KING*

Introducing…. *KING* OUR DOG OF THE MONTH FOR DECEMBER

10 year old KING has recently joined us having lived in a kennel environment all his life. He’s easy to walk and, being that bit older, will tell you when he thinks he’s walked far enough. He seems a fairly confident lad and is now having his first experience of the big wide world being in foster care with Marzena, Jan and adopted Makants hound LOTTIE in Atherton.

His foster carers tell us: ‘KING has been with us for a few weeks now and he is lovely gentle lad. He was quite bewildered at the beginning, but is very adaptable and learning very quickly. He was very shy the first couple of days and he is now coming out of his shell, showing a gentle, but playful personality. He has made really good progress just in a few days with house training. KING also quickly realised what sofas are for, and has made our lounge couch his favourite resting spot!’

Most things outside of kennel life are completely new for KING so he needs a home where he can take his time getting to know his surroundings and his home, with the prospective adopter having patience and allowing him the time and space to settle into his new home.
