We’ve a lovely follow up story to share with you today, our thanks to Deborah for sharing her adoption story with us.

‘After the passing of our first beloved greyhound Roland in 2019, we made the decision that we wanted to adopt again, but not just one we wanted two.

I found Makants through a friend of mine and was encouraged to look at their website. We immediately fell in love with Sydney, a one-eyed large greyhound. After to chatting with both Sue and Siobhan, and after passing our home visit, we had a chat about who to pair Sydney with. I had initially thought of having two males but was advised that these don’t really work well, so Sydney was paired with the adorable Princess Emma, and we haven’t looked back!

Having two greyhounds has been a brilliant experience, not everything has gone right, a true learning experience and we often must do a headcount before closing doors! The love that has grown not only for us but for each other has been amazing, they are BEST friends, they share beds (if Emma allows it) and play together, although we often don’t know the rules!💗

As we watch them grow older, our love for them has grown each day and they are certainly entertaining to watch, much better than the T.V!
