🌟VOLUNTEER TRAINING🌟
A group of 30 Makants volunteers are now fully qualified in Dog First Aid and Emergency Canine Care.
This weekend they attended a course, held at the Botanical Gardens in Atherton, which was run by Lorraine from Dog First Aid Cheshire. The comprehensive training covered subjects such as seizures, shock, bloat, bleeding, heat stroke, choking, burns, poisoning and CPR. These skills will be useful for our volunteers for both their duties at kennels and of course with their own dogs, although of course we hope they never need to use them.
Our thanks to Lorraine for a very informative course and to staff at the Botanical Gardens for looking after us so well.
