We are six!

Makants Greyhound Rescue NW was formed on the 11th December 2013 – making today our sixth birthday!

From humble beginnings with just five kennels, one hound and one slip lead the rescue certainly has blossomed. Fast forward six years and we now have 19 kennels which currently house 19 greyhounds.

So far this year we have homed 71 greyhounds and we are pleased to have rehomed 380 greyhounds to date. We are indebted to those of you who have taken an ex racing greyhound into your lives and given them a loving, forever home. Some of you have even homed more than one hound ?

We are proud of our small army of Trustees and volunteers who, over the years, have given their time to make the rescue the outstanding success it is. Many of our volunteers have been with us for those six years showing outstanding loyalty.
