*IN MEMORIAM*

Recently we were saddened to hear of the passing of much loved Makants hound SOCKS.

Socks arrived in kennels in May 2018 and soon became a firm favourite amongst the walkers, he was also an easy hound to recognise with his distinguishable white ‘socks’.

As a volunteer walker Kath met Socks shortly after he arrived and it didn’t take long for him to find a place in her heart. A short time later, in October 2018, Kath and Steve gave Socks his forever home.

Even though their time together was short we know Socks wanted for nothing, was much loved and also loved going on his holidays. Very sadly his new life was cut short far too soon as he died of osteosarcoma at only six years of age.

We send our condolences to Kath and Steve and thank them for taking Socks into their lives and for the love they gave to this fabulous boy.
