*FRIDAY FEATURE – TWO YEAR OLD JACK*

Jackie, now known as Jack, is our young gentle giant who has been in a foster home for three weeks now with David and his two dogs.

Jack has proved to be the ideal house guest, being comfortable in the company of the other medium sized resident dogs from day one. He mastered house training straight away without a single accident and wasted no time at all finding himself a bed upstairs in the bedroom!

Jack is quite a bright boy and learns very quickly if trained in a positive way, he’s a little shy and sensitive but is starting to come out his shell more and more each day. In fact his cute, charming personality has been coming through more in recent days. Jack loves his walks and is slowly getting used to the world, he just needs more practice meeting smaller breeds of dog.

Foster carer David says ‘Jack is pretty much the stereotypical perfectly cool, calm and collected greyhound – even for such a young boy – he walks well on the lead too, in fact he’s just an all round lovely gentle giant.’

We feel Jack would be OK in a home on his own but may be happiest in a home where he had another dog for company, as that’s what he’s been used to so far.
